What’s in a Margarita

The traditional Margarita cocktail is made with tequila and lime juice. It also contains a citrus liqueur, such as Cointreau or triple sec. It is usually shaken, then poured over ice and served in a glass rimmed with salt. YUM. Learn more about the origins of margaritas by clicking here.

How to make a Strawberry Margarita

What about a Strawberry Margarita? This version is made with FRESH strawberries to give a big strawberry flavor. We add maple syrup to bring out the natural sweetness. Lime juice brings out the tartness and classic margarita vibes. Ice is added for texture. It’s time to blend!

You can adjust the sweetness if you wish. Too sweet? More lime juice! Too tart? Too tart? Pour into a glass and enjoy it straight up or over ice. Salted rims and garnishes of lime and strawberries make this drink extra festive!

Fresh strawberries, stems cut off and halved

Maple syrup 2 Tbsp

1/4 cup tequila (1/4 cup equals 2 ounces)

Half a cup of ice

1/4 cup lime juice

Add your sliced strawberries to a high-speed blender. Also, add maple syrup, lime juice, ice, and tequila. Blend on high for a few minutes until smooth. Serve straight up or over ice!

Make up to a day in advance and store in the fridge. You can also freeze the ice into cubes and then blend them with some extra water.
